Reports are out claiming that Real Madrid are getting serious with the signing of £12million rated Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva.
Cruzeiro sports chief Alexandre Mattos admits the European Champions are pushing hard to sign the 21-year-old.
“In principal they are not intending to bring any players in during the winter transfer window and we have no urgency to sell Lucas,” confirmed Mattos to Radio Itatiaia.
Lucas has been linked with Arsenal in recent times. Inter Milan, Manchester United and Liverpool have also been on the radar, but the Brazilian made it clear he will favour a move to Real Madrid.
Silva, speaking to Marca, said: ‘I dream of Real Madrid. I’m ready to play there, whether it’s now or in June.’
