Speaking to Channels TV, Cyriacus Kamai, a reverend father, said reportedly said the armed men attacked the village in the afternoon.

Kamai, who could not hide his dismay with the unfortunate circumstance said since Monday this week when Murbai community was attacked and five villagers killed, there has been palpable tension in Kona Garu, Surbai, Janibanbur and Jekun-hou villages before the attack following threats by the suspects to attack them.

He lamented that, due to tension, they only succeeded in burying one of the eight dead bodies.

Noting that no security operative has been deployed to restore peace, Kamai said residents of Jenibanbur community have to flee their homes to take refuge in other villages because of a threat to attack them tonight.

This was as a reprisal attack occurred at a market in Mayo Dasa community, where one person was killed.

Herald Nigeria gathered that members of neighbouring communities are still fleeing their homes for fear of another attack.
