RIO 2016: Nigeria’s Women Relay Team Suffers Terrible Defeat

The Nigerian women relay team at the Rio 2016 Olympics have suffered a terrible defeat as the team emerged the last to cross the finish line.

The relay race team led by Blessing Okagbare, on Saturday finished last in the women’s 4x100m relay race .

The team which is made up of Blessing Okagbare, Gloria Asumu, Jennifer Madu and Agnes Osazuwa finished the race in 43.21 seconds as against the first place winners, the U.S. team’s 41.01 seconds.

The United State’s team led by Allyson Felix took home the gold medal followed closely by Jamaica and Great Britain ladies who won silver and bronze medals respectively after crossing the finish line in 41.36 seconds and 41.77 seconds respectively.
