Rio Paralympics: Nigeria in quarter-finals of men’s table tennis team event

Team Nigeria recorded good success on Wednesday in the table tennis competition of the 2016 Paralympics Games in Rio, qualifying for the quarter-finals in the team event.

In the round one of the men’s team – class 4-5 event, the pair of Ahmed Koleosho and Chinedu Nick beat their Polish opponents 2-1.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that they beat the pair of Rafal Lis and Krzysztof Zylka 3-0 2-3 3-1.

The Nigerian team’s victory earned them a place against Turkey later in the day in the quarter-finals.

NAN reports that the Games will come to an end on Sunday.
