And Ronaldo’s great football rival Lionel Messi is 81 million followers adrift of the Portugal forward on 219 million.

Only one account on the social media platform has more followers than Ronaldo’s – and that’s Instagram itself with 397 million.

Music megastar Ariana Grande has 244 million followers while Kylie Jenner is on 241 million.

Singer Selena Gomez has 238 million people following her account and behind her is Kim Kardashian on 229 million.

Then comes Barcelona forward Lionel Messi with 219 million while Beyonce is next on 186m million followers.

Ronaldo is yet to post about his latest milestone having done so to celebrate reaching the 200-million mark in January 2020.

The five-time Balon D’or winner achieved the feat on Friday — about a year after he became the first person to amass 200m followers on the platform.

The achievement came off the back of another one he ticked earlier in the week when the Portugal national team captain became the all-time top scorer in European Championship history.

Ronaldo’s late brace against Hungary in his country’s group F opener of Euro 2020 put him above Mitchel Platini as the best goalscorer in the history of the competition.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward also moved onto 106 international goals, three shy of Iranian striker Ali Daei’s all-time record international goals tally of 109.

Coca-Cola’s market value dropped by $4 billion after the Juventus star expressed his preference for water ahead of two bottles of the drink.
