Mayowa is a young entrepreneur who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and was allegedly told she needed $100k to have any hope of recovery and she campaigned and made the money from a GoFundMe campaign in record time.

Now according to Linda Ikeji’s blog, it has been reportedly discovered that the entire thing was a fraud.

Mayowa is indeed sick with Cancer, but it had been made known to them that there was actually no hope of recovery and there was no cure regardless of which hospital she went to.

It was also alleged that the family knew this and still went ahead with the campaign. It was speculated that the family just wanted to keep the money.

Mayowa had reached stage 4 of ovarian cancer and doctors, unfortunately, already told her family she won’t survive it and had advised them to take her home.  The doctors in LUTH have also denied giving her family a medical report advising her to seek treatment abroad.

According to LIB, the doctors in LUTH state that they did not give her family any medical report advising her to seek treatment abroad.

It was also reported that major backer, Toyin Aimhaku is at LUTH at the moment with policemen while it has also been reported that some people went to the house but have found the place locked up.

More details later.
