“I nearly didn’t even attend the Oscars that year, but I’m glad I did,” Jada expressed, dubbing the incident the “holy slap” due to the positive outcomes that followed.
According to Jada, the Oscars controversy significantly impacted their marriage, revealing, “That moment of the s— hitting the fan is when you see where you really are.” Despite having been separated from Will for seven years, she emphasized that the slap made her realize she would never leave him.
