Two siblings in Igbokoda, headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State have been arrested by men of the Nigerian Police Force for allegedly burying two suspected thieves alive.

The arrested siblings, Omoniyi Alaleran and Oluwaseun Enikuomehin, were reported to have accused Igbekele Orisabinole and Ogbaro Erinbo of stealing their mother’s N130,000.

Following the siblings’ arrest, the case has been transferred to the Special Investigative Bureau in Akure, the state police headquarters.

According to reports, the mother of the two siblings, Mrs. Ogunnuga was said to have informed her two children of the missing N130,000 while pointing out the two victims allegedly buried alive as chief suspects.

The two siblings were then reported to have tortured the suspected thieves.

Upon meeting a futile response as the victims kept reiterating their innocence, the suspects were alleged to have taken the deceased into the bush and buried them in a pit they had dug.

Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the State Police Command, Femi Joseph said, “We have almost concluded investigation on the matter. The suspects will be charged to court very soon.”
