Soldiers in three trucks Tuesday morning shot into the air to disperse peaceful EndSARS protesters in Abuja.
According to information reaching The Herald, the incident occurred at the Sokale and FO1 areas of Kubwa.
The peaceful protesters were said to have gathered early Tuesday for the protests when the soldiers arrived.
It was gathered that the protesters erected a barricade at the Sokale roundabout area and Winners road in preparation for the day’s protests when the soldiers invaded.
The shooting incident reportedly created tension in the areas as residents quickly shut windows and doors.
Commuters also ran helter-skelter apparently to escape being hit by stray bullets.
Security agents and thugs have consistently attacked protesters in Abuja.
Recall that dozens of cars belonging to EndSARS protesters were set ablaze by thugs in Abuja on Monday.
The incident occurred in Kabusa junction in the Apo district area at 6pm, an eyewitness said.
Wielding various placards and blocking the road, the protesters had converged on Dan Kogi, a junction close to a Shoprite mall.
The same thugs reportedly returned to Apo Mechanic village, attacking motorists and attempting to loot some shops in the neighbourhood.
