Popular Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, recently opened up about the initial strain in her friendship with fellow actress Uche Jombo. During a candid interview with renowned media personality Chude Jideonwo, Ini shed light on the reasons behind Uche’s initial dislike towards her and how their bond eventually blossomed.
Contrary to what many believed, their friendship did not have a smooth start. It all began when they crossed paths on a movie set, and Uche developed a strong aversion towards Ini. Uche’s negative perception of Ini stemmed from the impression that she was rude and disrespectful. Ini’s assertive presence on set, combined with rumors of her rising popularity among producers, seemed to fuel Uche’s skepticism and skepticism towards her.
Recalling those early days, Ini shared, “Uche Jombo and I started off as not friends. She thought I was so rude. She thought I was doing too much. She was like, ‘What is she feeling like?’ I kept them on set for days.” The first time they worked together, Uche had already heard about Ini, often being referred to as the “new girl” and the “it girl” because of her increasing demand among producers. This fueled Uche’s annoyance, leaving her questioning Ini’s attitude and wondering why she had garnered so much attention.
To make matters worse, Ini arrived late on set, causing further frustration for Uche. According to Ini, she walked onto the set without acknowledging Uche, unintentionally exacerbating the tension. As a result, Uche developed a strong dislike for Ini during this period.
