On Friday, an unidentified man climbed an electronic transmission tower commonly described as high tension at Calvary Bus Stop, Idimu, Lagos.
Residents of the area gathered to watch the entire scenario. It was reported that he wandered around the vicinity for hours before he climbed the High tension.
He climbed to the top and he stayed there for three hours despite warnings from passersby who later converged at the foot of the tower. A resident said his responses showed that he was very coherent, some even alleged that he was out to kill himself.
He also demanded to see Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode before climbing down eventually police men at Area M Police Station had to intervene in the matter.
That particular area is known for such odd occurrences, last year, two people committed suicide after they lost football bets.
The entire area is covered in High Tension, while the government has stipulated that people should build houses far away from the High Tension, this law has been ignored because these days, you will find people constructing Kiosks and shops under the high tension.
