In what appears to be a calculated attempt by unknown elements to terrify the media in Nigeria, the wife of the Deputy Managing Director of THE SUN newspapers, Mr. Steve Nwosu has been abducted.
Mrs Toyin Nwosu was said to have been abducted in the couple’s home in the Okota area of Amuwo Odofin local government council in Lagos in the early hours of Monday.
It will be recalled that barely two weeks ago, on August 30, a columnist with the Vanguard newspapers, Donu Kogbara was abducted in Port Harcourt, Rivers state and released some days after, September 12, with no record of any ransom having been paid to secure her release.
According to Mr. Nwosu, his wife’s kidnappers were yet to contact the family with any ransom demands as at 9.00am on Monday.
