Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole, Maiduguri, have discovered another abducted Chibok School girl, Rakiya Abubkar, with her six-month-old baby.

Rakiya was found during investigation of arrested suspected Boko Haram terrorists by the troops.

This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja by Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman, the Director, Army Public Relations, on Thursday in Abuja.

Usman said that preliminary investigation discovered that “she is the daughter of Abubakar Gali Mulima and Habiba Abubakar of Chibok”.

“She further stated that she was a student of Senior Secondary School Class 3B (SS 3B) before her abduction along with her colleagues on April 14, 2014 by the Boko Haram terrorists.

“Rakiya Abubakar is presently undergoing further medical investigation and would soon be released to the Borno Government,” Usman said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that 21 of the more than 200 Chibok girls were discovered by troops on Oct. 13, 2016.
The troops had earlier rescued Amina Ali Nkeki on May 18, 2016, about two years after their abduction.(NAN)
