US Rapper Xxxtentacion was reportedly shot Dead in Florida while shopping for a motorcycle.
According to the Police in Broward County XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Onfroy, was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead by the medical examiner.
Xxxtentacion was usually seen as a controversial rapper usually due to his lyrics and his criminal history including a charge for domestic violence.
The rapper will be remembered as being one of the brightest prospects in rap and due to his age was seen to have a great future.
According to Entertainment website TMZ, multiple shots rang out outside the motorcycle dealership. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
The rapper was popular for hit songs such as SAD! and Moonlight and rose to the limelight really quickly and fairly recently.
His follow-up ? debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart in March and has racked up over a hundred million listens which has in turn shot the rapper to prominence.
His album was accessible and relatable and dealt with serious themes such as depression.
While Xxxtentacion had a short career, it was an eventful one and was also plagued with some chequered stories including 15 felony charges and aggravated battery of a pregnant woman.
