Orange Is The New Black star Uzo Aduba has revealed that her red carpet date at the SAG Awards was her prom date.
The 34-year-old actress attended the SAG Awards in LA on Saturday night with a friend called Mark, whom she’s known since kindergarten.
She took to Twitter to share snaps of the pair in high school, she wrote “He asked me to the prom, I said yes. I asked him to SAGs, he said yes.”
Uzo composed herself on stage as she thanked the show’s creator Jenji Kohan “for creating a show like this and putting it on television and making a show that reflects and represents so many people.”
