Van Gaal shuns questions on Bale’s deal

Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal has refused to answer questions on whether he’s planning to sign Real Madrid star Bale during the January transfer window.

Recently, various newspapers reported that the Dutch coach is planning a £90m bid to bring in the Welshman in January.

At a recent news conference, Van Gaal shunned questions relating to the transfer saying: “I cannot discuss that with you.
“I discuss that with my CEO (Ed Woodward) and not with anyone of the media.”

And Bale’s representatives have told Sky Sports News HQ that reports linking him with a move to Old Trafford are “irresponsible journalism”.
