The Super Eagles have received a major boost ahead of Wednesday’s AFCON 2023 semi-final clash as striker, Victor Osimhen has been cleared by doctors to link up with the team.
Reports from the Eagles’ camp indicated that the Napoli striker has linked up with the team.
Jose Peseiro’s squad had left Abidjan for Bouake, the venue of the semi-final clash against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, without the talismanic striker.
Osimhen had complained of abdominal discomfort.
It was said that the Napoli striker would be examined on Tuesday morning, and if cleared, would join the rest of the squad who have arrived safely in Bouake.
Reports indicated that Osimhen is on his way to Bouake after being declared fit by the medical team.
The 25-year-old has started the Eagles’ five games so far, scoring and assisting once.
