A video has emerged of the moment a father was shot by his toddler son with a handgun he carelessly left with the boy.
In the undated 24-second video posted on World Star Hip Hop on Saturday, the man can be seen shooting into the air at what appeared to be a party.
He subsequently drops the loaded firearm on a chair next to his inquisitive toddler, who sat on another chair.
The boy picks it up and awkwardly aims at his dad before pulling the trigger.
The impact of the shot throws the boy, who was sitting on a chair, to the floor.

The bullet pierces the father’s stomach and a bloodstain can be seen on his shirt as he falls to the ground.
The crowd at the gathering begins to scream as the camera pans out.
The location of the incident could not be immediately confirmed but it appeared to be a Mexican or Hispanic gathering going by the music playing in the background.
It could not be immediately ascertained if the man was killed in the incident.
