A neighbor has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old dad, Najai “Nigel” Sow in his Bronx apartment building.

The shooting incident occurred on Saturday as the victim was at the entrance of his building on Hoe Ave. near Bruckner Blvd. in Longwood.

Sow suffered three gunshots wounds to the torso and first responders rushed him to the Lincoln Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Cops said a neighbor, Vincent Gibson, 42, who was wearing a coronavirus face mask at the time of the shooting, was arrested on Sunday.

Surveillance footage of the shooting shows a man calmly walking over to a group of standing men and pulling a gun out of his right pocket.

He then proceeds to shoot his victim three times in the torso as the other men scattered off.

Sow had a young son, and neighbors said he loved helping their kids with their math homework and was always looking for new business ventures, especially in the local rap industry.

A friend of the deceased, Daniel Ponte, 19, said, “He’s a family man. He’s not into violence or none of that.

“He’s a positive person. If you ever needed help in something, he’ll help you.”
