The President and Vice-President of Somaliland, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed and Mahdi Mohamed Guled respectively, have exchanged blows during a recent meeting with journalists.
In a video that is currently trending on the internet, the president can be seen standing before throwing punches at his deputy, who wastes no time to respond in kind.
Shocked journalists quickly stand up to break up the fist fight.
Somaliland, which broke away from Somalia, has been in crisis since its self-declared independence.

Reacting to the video, the Senator for Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, Shehu Sani urged other African nations’ leaders not to emulate the despicable example.
He wrote, “The footages of Somaliland President punching his VP and the Vice President punching back should not be emulated by other African leaders please.”
