Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar says the nomination of Ikorodu Bois and Emmanuella for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2021 shows that Nigeria does not lack talents.
He stated this in a tweet on Monday while reacting to the nominations.
The Herald had reported that Ikorodu Bois, the super-talented kids known for remaking movies and music videos, and Emmanuella Samuel, the 10-year-old comedienne on Mark Angel comedy skits, were nominated under the favorite African social media star category of the award.
The two Nigerian acts were nominated alongside Bonang – South Africa, Ghetto Kids – Uganda, Elsa Majimbo – Kenya, and Wain Van Den berg – South Africa.
Reacting to the nominations, Atiku wrote: “We do not lack talents. What we lack is the wherewithal to harness this amazing gifts and the opportunity to manifest them.
“Congratulations @IkoroduB and Emmanuella Samuel on your nomination for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2021.”
