Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has said that the popular saying, “We rise by lifting others” is not a truthful one.
“We rise by lifting others” has become associated with Grammy-nominated musician, Davido, who often used it to emphasise the need to assist others.
However, Omokri said that the saying is only valid if the right people are being lifted.
“We rise by lifting others is not a truthful saying. You rise by lifting the right people.
“You, have you risen after lifting urgent 2k girls? If you keep lifting all those heavily made-up girls whose beauty can be eliminated by wiping their faces with a hot towel to remove their makeup, you are not going to rise. You will fall. And when you fall, they will move on to their next victim.
“Lift your wife. Lift your family members. Lift widows and orphans. Lift true friends. Lifting the wrong weight can crush you!” he said.
