Having being nominated for Afrobeats artist of the year at the 2023 iHearts Award, Wizkid and Tems both emerge winners of this category.
Nominated alongside these artists were Burna Boy, Ckay and Fireboy DML.
Both artists since 2020 when Wizkid dropped Essence where he featured the talented Tems; they have gone on to bag awards based on their mighty collaboration on the song and have individually won awards for their respective efforts in the global music scene.
Recall that earlier this year, Tems won a Grammy award for her stellar performance on Future’s Wait For You, alongside Drake; emerging top in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category at the Grammy awards.
Wizkid also has won numerous awards ranging from local to international and this remains one of his many achieved conquests.
