The Super Eagles of Nigeria were defeated by Croatia after conceding 2 goals and failing to restore parity before full time.
Oghenekaro Etebo’s own goal and Luka Modric’s penalty, after William Troost-Ekong brought down Mario Mandzukic in the box, ensured an easy victory for Croatia, who are in pole position to qualify from Group D.
