The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has continued to develop the state despite daunting challenges.

The party stated this in a congratulatory message as Fintiri clocked 53 years today.

The statement was signed by PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan.

Adamawa is one of three North-Eastern states plagued by the Boko Haram insurgency.

The party said it was very proud of the governor for his exceptional leadership and outstanding achievements.

“Governor Fintiri has proven to be an excellent administrator with a track record of performance as a lawmaker, former Speaker of Adamawa state House of Assembly, former acting governor and now as the Executive governor of Adamawa State, under whom the state has experienced unprecedented development in critical sectors in spite of the prevailing economic and social challenges.

“Furthermore, Governor Fintiri has, in line with the manifesto of our party, the PDP, continued to play critical roles towards the stability, unity and peaceful co-existence, not only in his state but also in our nation, Nigeria, at large.

“Our party urges Governor Fintiri not to relent in his selfless service to the state and our country as our citizens across the nation look unto the PDP and its elected officials for direction, especially at this trying time.

“The PDP congratulates Governor Fintiri and prayed God to continue to bless him with good health and more years in fruitful service to our dear nation and and humanity at large,” the statement further read.
