Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has taken charge of organizing the Lagos leg of the protest and announced that her NGO, Pinkies Foundation, will submit a letter to the Lagos state government in advance of the rally on Wednesday. During an Instagram live session, the actress urged celebrities nationwide to participate in the event, emphasizing the need for unity and collective action to ensure justice for Mohbad.

In her impassioned call to action, Iyabo Ojo directed her message to Governor Sanwo-Olu, urging him to use his office to oversee a thorough investigation into Mohbad’s death. She emphasized the importance of justice and accountability, highlighting that Mohbad had called for help during his lifetime, but his cries were not adequately heeded, ultimately leading to his tragic demise.

Meanwhile, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has called for peace and urged aggrieved fans to shun violence in the wake of Mohbad’s sudden passing. Expressing condolences, the SDP, through its South-West Zonal Secretary, Mr. Femi Olaniyi, extended sympathies to the late singer’s family and associates. The party emphasized the importance of peaceful expression to demand justice and encouraged all concerned parties to seek resolution without resorting to violence.
