Army Chief, Buratai’s Hometown Under Boko Haram Attack

Reports just coming in state that Boko Haram insurgents have attacked Buratai, Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, the hometown of Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai.

Information concerning the terror attack is still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.

This is the second time since July, when Buratai was appointed as COAS, that  the terrorists would attack Buratai community.

The fight time Boko Haram insurgents launched an attack on the community was in February 2014, when Mr Buratai, then a major general, was the head of the Joint Task Force in the Niger Delta.

In July 2015, few days after he was appointed as COAS by President Muhammadu Buhari, the terrorists attacked the community, killing two people and destroying homes including Buratai’s family home.
