The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose’s aide arrested by anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has been given a bog break by the Abuja High Court.

The Abuja High Court today granted Abiodun Agbele bail in the sum of N50 million while slamming a N5 million fine on the anti-graft agency for ‘arbitrary abuse of power”.

The court presided over by Justice Olukayode Adeniyi delivered the ruling and ordered the immediate release of personal properties belonging to the applicant.

The court in its judgement frowned heavily upon EFCC’s “arbitrary abuse of power and unlawful detention of the applicant (Agbele) without arraigning him in court of competent jurisdiction in line with the constitution”.
