Jonathan Sacks NPA Managing Director, Appoints Ado Bayero As Replacement

President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday sacked the managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Malam Habib Abdullahi.

A terse press statement by the Presidency Spokesman, Reuben Abati announcing Abdullahi’s sack did not state any reason for the action.

The statement, however, said President Jonathan has approved the appointment of Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero as the new managing director of the NPA.

Alhaji Sanusi, a lawyer, has from Kano state. His appointment, according to the statement takes effect from today, Thursday, April 30 2015. He is the eldest son of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero.

“President Jonathan thanks the outgoing Managing Director for his services and wishes well in his future endeavours,” the statement added.
