NSE All Share Index Ends Month in the Green, Gains 5.16% in September

The All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange ended the month on a high as it ended today’s session up by 1.27% after appreciating by 0.20% yesterday. It gained 5.16% in the month of September. The primary index added 392.77 basis points today to close at 31,217.77 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N10.72 trillion.

The total number of deals recorded on the floor reduced by 4.86% after increasing by 12.51% yesterday, while the total volume of shares traded on the floor also reduced by 41.10% after increasing by an impressive 165.48% yesterday. However, the total value of transactions recorded increased by 108.45% against a reduction of 20.99% recorded yesterday.

The top five most actively traded shares on the exchange today were ACCESS, TRIPPLEG, CUSTODYINS, UBA and ZENITHBANK led the activity chart with a combined total of 228 million shares.

Market breadth closed negative as NESTLE led 22 Gainers against 26 Losers led by FO.

Year-To-Date currently stands at -9.92%.
