In a disturbing and most bizarre case, Shari Walters of Albuquerque, New Mexico is in jail and faces charges of animal cruelty, aggravated battery, and assault with the intent to commit a violent felony after she was caught by her two roommates having sex with the family German shepherds reported KoaChannel7news.com.
Walters, 53 was caught lying naked in a shed with one of the roommate’s dogs. Allegedly she admitted to having had sex with her roommate’s dog Spike. The owner of the dogs, Beverly Bradley was shocked and disgusted when she found out; Beverly’s brother had been dating Walters until he found out what had happened.
The events only got worse, when the next evening Beverly and her brother Jeffrey, were eating dinner and noticed their food and water tasted bitter. Walters admitted to trying to poison the roommates by adding rubbing alcohol, dish soap and toilet bowl cleaner to their food, but allegedly telling the two roommates if Jeffrey would date her again, she would stop trying to poison them.
Court papers reveal Walters admitting that she has been having sex with dogs since she was 14.
The two dogs, Spike and Jake were examined by a veterinarian and only suffered minor injuries. Beverly and her brother are being treated for food poisoning.
Walters is scheduled to have a mental evaluation and is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
