Manchester United fans, concerned about the team’s dip in form, have called on the club’s management to sack manager Louis van Gaal and replace him with current Bayern Munich tactician, Pep Guardiola.

The fans spoke after the team’s third loss in a row in all competitions, against Norwich City on Saturday, with many of them citing lack of confidence in the present manager’s abilities to rescue the team from its slump.

The Old Trafford-based team was knocked out of the UEFA Champions League on December 8, after losing 3-2 to German side VfL Wolfsburg in their last group game.

United is presently fifth on the English Premier League table after 17 games, with 29 points, the same as 4th-placed Tottenham Hotspur and 6th-placed Crystal Palace.

However, while they have a +8 goal difference, Spurs have +14 and Palace +7.

Guardiola still has a year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena and has been linked with most of the top clubs in Europe.
