The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi’s actions are contradicting his words, a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has said.

Omokri said it was contradictory that Obi has been promising to reduce the cost of governance if elected president but assembled a 1453-member Presidential Campaign Council.

He said a 1453-member PCC is “wasteful”.

Omokri, who is a staunch supporter of the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, said this in a Facebook post on Friday.

“How can a Peter Obi, who is promising to reduce the cost of governance, assemble a 1453 member Presidential Campaign Council. It is contradictory to his message.

“Waziri ATIKU has a committee of less than a thousand people. That is leadership. A 1453 member PCC is wasteful! Actions speak louder than words.

“And these are the contradictions we have been seeing with the Labour Party. Obi promises to move from consumption to production, yet he is the single largest individual importer of foreign goods for resale in Nigeria.

“He promises to fight corruption, yet he is the only Presidential candidate listed by the Pandora Papers as having corruptly enriched himself.

“He says past leaders ruined Nigeria, yet runs from one former head of state to the other seeking endorsements!

“He expresses sympathy for flood victims, yet did not build anti flood infrastructure as Governor.

“He wants to be Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, yet religiously obeys IPOB,” Omokri wrote.
