The immediate-past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye says the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima will get numerous votes in the South-East zone.

Nwoye said this during the unveiling of a campaign building for the Tinubu-Shettima Independent Campaign Group in Enugu on Tuesday.

The former APC boss said that despite challenges experienced in the security sector, President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has performed creditably well.

Nwoye named some of the administration’s achievements as the introduction of the school feeding programme, payment of N30,000 minimum wage, and increase in the allowances of members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

According to him, the APC government has also embarked on massive infrastructural projects, especially in the South-East.

He said that voting for Tinubu in 2023 would enable him to continue with the good works of the Buhari administration.

“There is need for continuity and even though there is a problem of security, it should not undermine the achievement of the APC-led government,” Nwoye said.

He compared the Tinubu/Shettima presidential team to a moving train that cannot be stopped and urged all APC stakeholders in Enugu to work for the team’s success in the February 25, 2023 presidential race.

“We want to ensure that Tinubu/Shettima will get enough votes in the South-East.

“I advise supporters of other parties that are saying that APC will not campaign in the South-East to bury the idea. We have thousands of supporters that will work for the APC,” Nwoye said.
