$2bn Arms Deal: Dasuki, Others Arraigned, Plead Not Guilty to Fresh Charges

Former National Security Adviser, NSA, ‎Col. Sambo Dasuki, rtd, was arraigned before an Abuja High Court ‎sitting at Maitama this morning over a fresh 19-count criminal charge.

Dasuki was charged alongside the former Director of Finance in the Office of the NSA, Mr. Shuaibu Salisu, former Executive Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Commission, NNPC, ‎Aminu Baba-Kusa, as well as his companies, Acacia Holding Limited and Reliance Referral Hospital Limited.

They all pleaded not guilty to the entire charge.

The presiding judge, Justice Hussein Baba Yusuf‎ adjourned till Tuesday to hear their separate applications for bail.

The accused persons were charged for the diversion of $2 billion( N13.1b) from the national treasury.

‎The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission alleged that the accused persons supervised the illegal disbursement of billions of Naira from different bank accounts belonging to the office of the NSA.
