Sumbo Adeoye, one of the baby mamas of the renowned Nigerian musician, 2face Idibia, recently opened up about her decision to have a second child with the singer, despite not being married to him. In an Instagram live session, Sumbo candidly shared her reasons and the lessons she learned from her experience.
Sumbo admitted that she made the choice to have another child with 2face after receiving misguided advice from her friends. They believed that having another child would solidify her relationship with the legendary singer. Unfortunately, the outcome of her decision did not match her expectations, as 2face did not end up marrying her. Sumbo expressed her disappointment, feeling like a loser for conceiving another child with him.
However, Sumbo emphasized that leaving 2face was ultimately the best decision she made in her life. It led her to encounter the love of her life, Pastor David Adeoye, whom she described as her soulmate. This newfound love and companionship brought her immense joy and fulfillment.
Speaking from her own experiences, Sumbo offered advice to single women. She encouraged them not to rush into marriage solely because of the desire to have children. Sumbo explained that children eventually grow up and leave, and a marriage based solely on that foundation may not withstand the test of time. Instead, she urged women to prioritize finding a partner who invests in them emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
Sumbo Adeoye, now a 40-year-old clergywoman, strongly advised single women to leave any one-sided relationships and so-called ‘playmates’ who do not invest in them. Her message served as a reminder that healthy and fulfilling relationships are built on mutual respect, support, and genuine love.
