Three suspects linked to the murder of actress Thandeka Mdeliswa have been arrested, including one man believed to have been her colleague.
The Herald earlier reported that Thandeka Mdeliswa was confirmed dead after being shot by two men at her home in Evander Mpumalanga.
According to Police report, two men visited the actress’s home on Thursday and had an argument with her brother.
Mdeliswa decided to confront the two men, the argument became very violent and one of the men grabbed the gun from his colleague and allegedly shot Mdeliswa.
Thandeka Mdeliswa’s family confirmed that she died after being shot. In a statement, the family said: “It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing on of our dearest daughter.”
Mdeliswa’s family has described the shooting as an incident of gender-based violence. The suspects are facing charges of murder and the unlawful possession of a firearm.

Lt Gen Mondli Zuma, the provincial police commissioner of Mpumalanga said the arrested suspects aged 24, 27 and 29, will face charges of murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
They will appear in the Evander Magistrates Court on Monday.
Zuma said: “We are glad that the suspects have been arrested, including the alleged murderer.
“We also believe that at least the arrest will bring comfort to the family as they will be able to find closure on the matter.
“It is my pleasure to also commend the good work done by both teams in the apprehension of the suspects”
