Arsenal Boss Arteta & Chelsea’s Hudson Oboi Test Positive for Coronavirus

Arsenal Boss, Mikel Arteta and Chelsea’s Callum Hudson Oboi have been diagnosed with the Coronavirus as the effects of the virus continue to rage.

Arsenal football club confirmed the closure of their London Colney Training Centre after Head Coach, Mikel Arteta tested positive to the COVID 19 Virus on Thursday evening.

According to the top Premier League Team, personnel of the club who had close contact with head coach will self isolate in accordance with government guidelines.

These include the entire first team squad, coaching staff and a number of personnel from Arsenal’s Hale End Academy which has now been closed.

In a related incident, Chelsea’s Callum Hudson Oboi has also tested positive for the Coronavirus, according to an announcement by the English top flight football club.

The premier League player becomes the first player in the UK to be affected by the COVID 19 Virus.

As a result, Chelsea’s training facility will remain closed temporarily. While everyone who had contact with the player including coaching staff and the full first team have been told to self-isolate.

Mikel Arteta of Arsenal expressed his disappointment at having contracted the Virus.

“This is really disappointing but I took the test after feeling poorly. I will be at work as soon as I’m allowed.” He said.
