Former Big Brother Naija housemates, Doyin and Tacha, have condemned Wizkid for his recent actions on social media, accusing him of “chasing clout” and disrespecting music mogul, Don Jazzy.
Wizkid had been involved in a banter spree on Monday, throwing shade at Davido and Don Jazzy on social media platform, X. However, his actions have been met with criticism from Doyin and Tacha, who have slammed him for his behavior.
According to Doyin, Wizkid should focus on releasing hit songs rather than “chasing clout”. She wrote on her Instagram page: “Don Jazzy is still the JayZ of the Nigerian music industry. If you try to disrespect him, it just shows your head is not correct. No be to dey chase clout, drop hit!”
Tacha also warned Wizkid that any slander or disrespect towards Don Jazzy would not be tolerated. In a video message on her social media, Tacha noted that Don Jazzy has made significant impacts on the Nigerian music industry, growing global superstars and contributing to the growth of Afrobeats. She said: “No Don Jazzy slander will be tolerated. Don Jazzy’s impact on the entertainment industry can never be overemphasized. If you have to take off Don Jazzy’s inputs on the industry, that would be you taking half of Afrobeats away.”
Tacha further emphasized that Don Jazzy’s contributions go beyond the music industry, as he has supported individuals regardless of their status. She concluded: “This is somebody that doesn’t restrict himself to the music industry alone. Don Jazzy is there for everybody regardless of their status.”
