Donald Trump’s Younger Brother, Robert Dies at 71

Robert Trump, the younger brother of US President, Donald Trump has died at the age of 71.

According to a statement released by Donald Trump, his brother died on Saturday at a New York hospital.

According to The Hollywood ReporterTrump described his younger brother as “much quieter and easygoing than I am,” and “the only guy in my life whom I ever call ‘honey.”

He said in a statement: “It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight. He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”

Robert worked in corporate finance, and after joining the family business, he managed real estate holdings for the family business.

Donald Trump made a last minute decision to go to New York on Friday to visit his brother as he headed to New Jersey for the weekend. Robert Trump had been admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan.

A source told CNN that Robert had been sick for several months, however the details of Robert Trump’s illness have not been released.

Donald Trump is expected to attend his brother’s funeral.
