Renowned Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu, recently revealed that he was offered a significant sum of N3 million to level baseless accusations against the grieving wife of the late singer Mohbad, Omowunmi, regarding her husband’s demise.
The actor disclosed this shocking revelation in a video, recounting how he was approached to spread a harmful rumor suggesting Omowunmi’s involvement in the singer’s death. The fabricated narrative insisted that Mohbad’s wife should undergo a DNA test for their child, insinuating potential paternity fraud.
According to Maduagwu, an individual approached him with this dubious offer, promising a hefty N3 million in return for propagating the false narrative that Mohbad’s wife had a hand in the singer’s passing. However, the actor swiftly rejected the proposition, emphasizing that he lacked any personal connection with the late singer and had no authority to make such harmful allegations or demands.
The actor raised concerns that the same individual might have recruited other social media influencers to spread this misinformation, targeting Mohbad’s wife as a prime suspect and calling for a DNA test.
