Adesua Etomi, the talented Nigerian actress, recently opened up about her initial reaction when her husband, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, expressed his desire to enter the political arena. Adesua admitted that she was initially taken aback and frightened by his decision but later chose to stand by him, recognizing the importance of purpose over fear.
During a recent interview with Hip TV, Adesua shared her honest thoughts and emotions regarding Banky’s political aspirations. She acknowledged feeling concerned and disturbed when he first revealed his intentions. Politics can be a challenging and unpredictable field, prompting understandable worries for loved ones. In 2018, Banky W declared his intention to run for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat under the Modern Democratic Party. Although he faced a defeat in the elections against the candidate from the All Progressives Congress, Banky W continued his pursuit of public service. In the 2023 elections, he ran for the same seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party but unfortunately lost to the Labour Party candidate.
