Aisha Buhari, the First Lady of Nigeria seems to have confirmed President Buhari’s alleged wedding while speaking with BBC Hausa reporters.
Aisha who has been on a two months hiatus in the UK arrived Nigeria in the early hours of Sunday morning, amid rousing welcome from wives of former and Present Governors.
Aisha spoke to newsmen and explained the reason for her absence in the country, saying she took the “approved” break to rest, attend to her health while spending time with her children. She also expressed gratitude to her husband for approving the much needed break for her aides.
When asked about her thought on the speculations making rounds on social media concerning her husband’s alleged second marriage to Sadia Umar Farouq, Aisha Buhari seemed to confirm the wedding rumours with a cryptic comment, stating Sadia waited till the following day before refuting the allegations.
“The person that promised (Sadia Umar Farouq) marriage didn’t know it wasn’t going to happen. She(Sadia Umar Farouq) didn’t deny the marriage until the day passed”

Aisha also confirmed that she is truly the one in the viral video where she engaged in a shouting match with her husband’s niece, Fatima Mamman Daura, daughter to Mamman Daura.
The First Lady also admitted the video was not recent as it was recorded in 2018
