Akinfenwa Nominated For PFA Player of The Year Award

English-born Nigerian striker, 36-year-old Adebayo Akinfenwa, who plays for Wycombe Wanderers, has been nominated for the English Professional Football Association (PFA) award for League Two.

The association made this known on their website as they gave a comment on Akinfenwa’s performance saying:

“The powerhouse of English football continued  to deliver in 2017/18. Wycombe are on their way up to League One and their
dominant forward has been key to that. 17 goals and 12 assists in the league is a very good return to say the least.

Billy Kee (Accrington Stanley)
Marc McNulty (Coventry City)

The Wycombe forward Akinfenwa has not represented the Nigerian national team yet for reasons best known to him.

He has scored 18 goals with 14 assists in  46 appearances this season contributed to the promotion of Wycombe into League One.
