Renowned Nollywood actor and model, Alexx Ekubo, has candidly addressed persistent questions about his marital status, making it clear that he is more focused on building wealth than succumbing to societal pressures.
Once involved in a high-profile romance with Fancy Acholonu, their relationship took an unexpected turn when Acholonu called off their wedding in December 2021. However, in a surprising turn of events, she apologized to Ekubo a year later and professed her enduring love for the actor.
Acholonu acknowledged her emotional overreaction during the breakup and expressed regret for the pain it caused Ekubo and his family. Despite the public nature of their past, Ekubo has chosen to prioritize his financial goals over societal expectations regarding his marital status.
In a recent post on his Instagram page, Ekubo addressed the ongoing curiosity surrounding his relationship status. He emphasized the importance of focusing on financial success, stating in pidgin English, “You go just dey your own dey find money, another person go dey one corner dey reason why you never marry.”
This statement aligns with Ekubo’s earlier declaration in February 2023, where he revealed his disinterest in anything leading to marriage.
