The much-awaited primaries for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos and Imo have been postponed.

The primaries were set to take place tomorrow, 30th of September 2018

The issue of Lagos is especially interesting as Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Jide Sanwo-Olu, are in a tight tussle as to who will win the ticket to contest for the APC in the upcoming elections.

Sanwo-Olu is apparently in the lead as he reportedly received the endorsement of 36 out of the state’s 40 lawmakers on Sunday afternoon.

There had been reports that Ambode had settled things with APC chieftain Bola Tinubu, but earlier today, an aide to the former Governor said that this was not true, which means that Mr Sanwo-Olu is still the on most likely to win the party ticket.
