A 300 level student of Political Science and International Relations of Caleb University, Morrison Akinyemi was allegedly beaten to death by his babymama.
His babymama, Chidinma Rosemary Umeh is a freshman of the Creative Arts faculty, Unilag.
The victim was reported to have been a first class student in his penultimate year in the University.
The incident happened following a fight after they returned home from a party in the middle of the night.
A neighbour, Mia Seren gave her account of the incident;
“Like yesterday, he went for a party then came back around 9:00pm. But Chidinma was not home, so he called her to ask her where she was. They sha planned to meet at one place. When they came back, they were with a Mr Biggs nylon and they went to their room.”
“Later we heard them fighting in the room and somebody was hitting someone’s head on the wall.”
“We asked Chidinma open the door and she did not open the door. Later we did not hear their voices.”
“Like 30 mins later, she opened the door then Joy’s mother and bro Moor’s wife brother entered and saw Morrison on the floor.”
“He was found unconscious and he had an injury on his head, and had a cloth tied to his neck. We rushed him to the hospital then they said he was gone.”
According to the brother of the deceased, Chidinma has since be arrested and transferred from Ifako Police Station to Panti State CID.
He said Morrison was found dead, with injuries on his neck.
