Comedian and actor, Basketmouth has finally spoken up on his reasons for not voting in the just concluded presidential election which was held on Saturday.
Prior to the election week, Basketmouth was dragged for fixing his show date during the election period, and Nigerians stated that it was unwise and selfish.
However, Basketmouth has come out to state that his inability to vote was due to the difficulty in adjusting an already slated date for his show.
He said “my international shows are planned one year before, so as to secure the date and venue. To have changed dates in such short notice would have been a logical hazard to not just myself but the whole crew.”

He revealed that the elections aren’t always a February thing but his shows have always been. “A Valentine special”, the comedian tagged it.
Basketmouth went ahead to thank his fans for understanding and showing up for him regardless and stated how elated he was for Nigerians taking their stand through voting.
