Former presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Governor Bala Mohammed whose election victory was confirmed by the Court of Appeal on Friday.
The Herald had reported that a three-man panel of justices confirmed Mohammed’s victory in the March 18 gubernatorial election in the state.
The court therefore dismissed the appeal filed by candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sadique Abubakar, following the tribunal judgment upholding Mohammed’s victory.
Reacting, Atiku said the Bauchi governor’s victory confirmed his unwavering dedication to the people of the state.
“Congratulations, H.E. Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on your affirmed victory in the March 18 governorship election.
“This victory is a testament to the democratic process in this case, and your unwavering dedication to the people of Bauchi State.
“As evidenced by this triumph, your leadership and commitment continue to inspire many.
“I am confident that Bauchi State will achieve greater heights and notable advancements under your governance.
“I wish you continued success in your endeavours to serve our people,” Atiku said.
