Big Brother Naija “All Stars” housemate, Doyin, has publicly accused her former friend Ilebaye of strategically playing the victim card to secure the favor of the viewers and ultimately win the coveted prize money.
The controversy began to brew when a dispute erupted between Ilebaye and fellow housemate Whitemoney over the use of the house’s sound system and piano, which were provided for a wager challenge. The clash occurred as Ilebaye decided to crank up the volume of the music system, even after Whitemoney had turned it off.
Whitemoney, expressing his displeasure, accused Ilebaye of deliberately disrupting the house’s peace by raising the volume during unsociable hours. He insisted that she should lower the sound. However, Ilebaye offered a contrasting perspective, claiming that her intention was to craft a song, and nobody cared about her creative endeavors.
The heated argument culminated in Ilebaye shedding tears, prompting Doyin to seek solace in a private conversation with fellow housemate Cross inside the Head of Household (HOH) bathroom. During this confidential exchange, Doyin candidly revealed her belief that Ilebaye had been skillfully manipulating the dynamics of the house, portraying herself as a victim to gain the sympathy of the Nigerian audience and secure victory.
Doyin articulated her concerns, stating, “Ilebaye has been playing a game. Watch her videos from Level Up season; she’s not the same person. When I realized her game, I felt so stupid. But it’s too late; the viewers would have given the money to her. Whitemoney was the first person to tell it to me, but I called it a bluff. We’ve all been fooled.“
